The polycrystalline diamond compact is the compact of a polycrystalline diamond layer and a tungsten carbide substrate. The polycrystalline diamond layer possesses extremely high hardness and abrasion resistance, whereas the tungsten carbide substrate would greatly improve the toughness and weldability of the whole compact. It is usually utilized to make petroleum and geological drilling bits, as well as machine tools.

PLAIN INTERFACE
This kind of simplified PDC is suitable for making the drilling bits only used for some specific application such as geological drilling, coalfield  and etc. Because of the comparatively simplified manufacturing methods, it is a economy choice of PDC while it is fairly enough sharp and hard and could play good performance in many occasion to satisfy the demand of the buyers.

CLAW INTERFACE
These types PDC have a higher content of diamond than plain type products. The retention strength between PCD layer and Carbide are also much higher than before. As a result, claw interface PDC has a higher wear resistance and long life.

CHAMFER
Unchamfer for both carbide and PDC
  Carbide Chamfer
  PDC Chamfer
Chamfer for both carbide and PDC

Typical Order Code: PDC - SPECIFICATION – FINISHING CODE - CHAMFER CODE - CLAW SHAPE e.g.
PDC-1308-H-D-F
PDC-1905-Z-DT-TC

Instructions:

1.       When exposed to temperature higher than 750, the diamond component in PDC tends to degrade back to graphite. It is strongly recommended that the operating temperature should be controlled lower than 700 during using.

2.       The diamond layer of PDC is brittle, heavy impact or knock should be avoided.

3.       PDC should be stored in a dry and clean place.
