diamond
grinding wheels are mainly used in the grinding of various hard carbide,
special shaped surfaces and work pieces made of hard brittle nonmetal
materials with surface finish requirements or with difficult to machine
surface. |
Applications:
*Tungsten
*Carbide
*Carbide and steel combinations
*Anti wear coatings
*Ferrite
*Ceramics
*Porcelain
*Quartz
*Ferro-Tic
*Cermets
Grit
type£º
In respect of the application, SUKAN offers wheels
with diamond grits in different characteristics, e.g. sharp edged,
blocky, splintery etc.
Bonds£º
Resin bonds: made from various resin, these bonds are
suitable for 80 % of applications in grinding tungsten carbide, high
speed steels, ceramics. The function of resin bonded wheel is to grind
easily and to give a high stock removal with reasonable wheel life.
Metal bonds: made from sintered various metals, these wheels give
greater resistance to wear for special applications (glass, ceramics)
or for good corner handling, but the stock removal is less important
than resin bonds.
Concentration£º
As a general rule, wheel performance,
endurance, and surface finish are enhanced by combination concentration/grit
size. For finishing, low concentration and fine grits are necessary.
For roughing the combination of coarse grit and high concentration
is ideal.
